Comedy Networking

Starting in Warwickshire, this July.

Your business, more fun

Would you like to grow your business and find more customers?

Is working on your business lonely sometimes?

Is it difficult to keep coming up with fresh marketing ideas every week, month and year?

Would you love to have some people to bounce ideas around with?

Would you like to make more local connections?

Would you like work to feel easy and fun sometimes?

Working alone on growing your business can be challenging.

Having to run the business, deliver to customers, manage the accounts, deal with suppliers, solve problems, run marketing campaigns, the list is endless.

And if you don't have someone to bounce ideas about with, it can make it even tougher.

When work feels hard

How comedy networking can help

Comedy networking is about having a laugh, meeting other local business owners and spending each session generating real ideas you can use straight away in your own business.

How do we do it.  Through a series of creative and fun activities that comedians use to generate funny material.  These activities are designed to move you out of the analytical state into a creative state and just let the ideas flow.  It can feel a little unusual at first (mainly down to the fact that most of us spend most of our time being analytical), but once you embrace ‘being playful’ you’ll be surprised how many amazing ideas are trapped inside your head just waiting to come out. And our team will be there to help capture them.

Getting creative

We are planning a ‘focus’ for each networking event, but with creative activities, it’s hard to predict what will come up.  So whilst for example we might focus on ‘hooks & headlines’ and we will chose the creative activities to help the ideas for great hooks and headlines to flow naturally.. with creative activities you never know what other ideas are going to flow out as part of the workshop .. don’t be surprised if you come up with new product or  partnership idea.

Hooks & Headlines are one line that grabs attention, and can be used in a whole variety of ways.  An obvious use is for marketing activity such as blogs, articles, social media posts.  But the same can techniques can be used to craft a great starting line in a speech or even a book title.

We can't wait to meet you

Isn’t it all just ‘messing about though’, my business takes lots of real work.

Did you know that laughter makes you more productive. In a study by the University of Warwick, researchers found that after a good laugh, participants were 12 % more productive.  Other studies shows laughter can lead to up a 20% increase in problem solving ability and can lead to flashes of inspiration.

So even when you get back to that analytical work, laughter will help you be more productive.

Laughter makes you more productive

Working with us

We use this approach with marketing teams in big organisations.  This approach helps these marketing teams come up with lots of new, funny & creative ideas to use in their social media and email campaigns.

But why should big business have all the fun? (and generate all the ideas)?  As a small business ourselves we wanted to introduce other small business owners to the benefits and joy of getting creative and having a laugh, whilst still being productive.

By the end of the workshop you will know what everyone else does and they will definitely know what your business offers.

But you won’t be doing an ordinary pitch, you will be telling others about your business within the creative activities and the rest of the team will be helping you generate ideas.

It’s a different way to ‘pitch’ your business but a powerful way for people to remember what you offer.

Memorable Pitches

Thank you so much, I've always wanted to try using comedy in my marketing posts, but working on my own I just was never able to make them funny. Now I know how to do it again on my own.

Emily,  Leadership Coach & Business Owner

I can't believe how many different new angles the team found for a product I thought we had already explored from every perspective.

What our clients think

Thank you Mark & Anne for yesterday.  The team and I had so much fun and it made me realise how important it is to give the team time and space to be creative.
